Laptop Back

My laptop hard drive died again a few weeks ago. After much hemming and hawing, I was finally able to get HP to repair it for me. Despite the fact it was technically out of warranty, it was still covered by the 90-day service warranty from the last time it had broken. In any case, I finally got it back last night, and all is right again. As a small consolation, the new hard drive has 15 GB more space than the old one. Nice!

I’ve learned my lesson, though. I finally broke down and bought a 300 GB external hard drive for backup purposes. Coupled with Norton Ghost, it makes getting back up-and-running a snap. Thanks a billion to Chris for lending me his laptop to use while mine sojourned in California.
