I Can See My House From Here!

Holy hell. Google Maps was awesome before, but now they’ve added satellite imaging to the mix, with all the same features as before! Check out my new neighborhood, Logan Circle; old neighborhood, Courthouse; and my old apartment in Chicago. You can drag, zoom, and even get annotated directions on top of the satellite imagery.

Interestingly, and not unexpectedly, they have the top of the White House blanked out, as well as the surrounding treasury buildings. Also, the Capitol is blurred out. Surprisngly, though, the Pentagon is in full fidelity. That really surprises me. There is also a fantastic shot of the Washington Monument, although it looks pretty old, since it has yet to be torn up for construction.
