So somewhere in the last month or two, the Caribou Coffee on the corner of 14th Street and Rhode Island Avenue switched from pay-for-Internet to free WiFi. I have been in here rarely since we moved in, despite its status as the nearest coffee shop to our home. I’m not a huge fan of Caribou Coffee, mostly because I’ve been snobbified courtesy of Murky, and the lack of free net was the nail in the coffin. Now, though, the nail has been pulled and Caribou has arisen like an herbivorous vampire.
Okay - yeah. That simile stretched a bit.
Still, I will probably be in here more, now. It’s so close, and there’s plenty of room, and it’s a neighborhood fixture. And now there’s free WiFi.
