The Washington Post is reporting that Rosa Parks has died at the age of 92.
In this era of action movies and faux heroes firing guns and blowing up cars, we need to be reminded that it doesn’t take a bomb to change the world. Sometimes, a simple act of refusal to be indignified is all the spark needed to set the world on fire.
In this nation of relative lawfulness, it is our civic duty not to follow an unjust law. Rosa Parks’ memory should always remind us of that.
