Banksy Graffiti Art

Teddy and I were chatting about my recent musings on Borf’s plea, and he pointed me at a UK artist named Banksy.

This guy makes Borf look like a three-year-old with crayons.

I am certainly not saying that all graffiti is art, but even a brief sampling of his work should be adequate to convince even the loudest naysayers that at least some graffiti is art. Check out the barcode cage, or the hilarious imagery of thug for life. It is impossible to deny the artistic power of beachboys, and that power flows from the very fact that it’s painted without permission on such a dystopian canvas.

Thanks for the hookup, Ted.
