Neurotic Roomba Repaired
The update for our neurotic Roomba finally arrived while I was in Salt Lake City. The update process was tremendously boring, but the good news is that the well-behaved little robot we thought was lost has returned to us!
Itās algorithm for cleaning is noticably different. It seems to be more keen on cleaning dirty areas, as the blue āDirt Detectā LED comes on far more often now than before, which Iād say is a good thing. Another change is that it seems to be more likely to randomly change direction without hitting a wall. Prior to the update, it would almost never change direction unless it hit a wall.
In any event, Iām happy to have it back cleaning the kitchen. Lugging out the full-size upright was a real pain-in-the butt.
