Cubs win!! They’ve taken two of three games from the Marlins, but they’ve both been difficult wins. We need to win the next one in Florida for me to finally feel comfortable about this series.
And I don’t know about you, but Hedda and I have been absolutely glued to the television set since the Cubs became a possibility. We normally aren’t big sit-down-and-watch-a-game type people, even when The Irish are playing; but as Hedda keeps saying, these games are absolutely addicting! The tension and the excitement of the Cubs doing so well is a drug that I just can’t hit enough.
My big fear, of course, is that the fans will all get addicted to this, and the old-time feel of going to Wrigley Field and being a die-hard Cubs fan through thick and thin will be lost. I would rather see the Cubs never win than lose that, but there’s only one way to find out. So for now, I’m just going to enjoy the ride.
