Uploading Tons of Photos

Life of Brian

One of my big concerns in this era of digital photographs is that the snapshots I have taken can be easily lost in the event of various hard drive failures or home-destorying events. So one reason for my recently purchase of a Flickr Pro account is because they will store unlimited numbers of any size photos forever. I can then upload all of my photos, and get a really-cheap offsite backup, in addition to all of their great tools.

Now I'm not stupid - I still have local backups in the event that Flickr goes away. However, taking advantage of their mass storage is well worth the $25 per year.

In any case, I've started uploading all of our photos - so I apologize for anybody subscribed to my photostream. I have five years of pictures to upload, so you'll be getting a lot of updates.
